The Crusader has a unique 3-hole cap that provides stability and comfort. Seams and edges are bound with soft, low-nap Polar fleece-type material that will not pick up stickers and burrs. Fringe sewn to the inside, under the nose panel, lies on the bridge and deters flies from landing underneath. Movement of the fringe while grazing shoos flies away. Ears are made with Wickaway, a soft, light, "quiet" material. Long version features unique nose protection to discourage flies and prevent sunburn.
